You enter through a small arched doorway which leads you to polished concrete staircase, stainless steel handrails and glass sides. Large arched stone windows. Very pretty suits our aesthetic perfectly There are two spaces here to use. The first is large, beautiful wooden floors, tall stone, arched windows and sandstone columns. Function room has a small stage area and a full bar. The top floor has beautiful wooden beams gorgeous floor a large wall of Windows facing the river Tyne. We absolutely loved it. We are planning to use a celebrant and then have a Kaylee

We got married at the treehouse in October 2023. We booked in February 2023 and were pleased to find there was some availability. Communication was excellent from the beginning, and emails and calls nearer to the wedding were fantastic – especially with regards to the storm, which was obviously on our minds. I can’t speak highly enough of the experience that we, and our guests, had on our wedding day. The team really understood the vision for our Autumn wedding and worked with our other suppliers to create this. On arrival, the venue looked magical and you could tell the staff had put so much work into the decoration, including all the personal touches we asked them to include. Due to the storm, the staff had to be flexible and move around several elements of the ceremony and set-up, but communication was excellent and we were updated regularly about any changes. The day ran smoothly and there was great communication from start to finish, alongside a team of staff who were helpful, friendly and professional; even going out of their way to help us set up our wedding cake and being super patient with some of our elderly guests. Food and drink were excellent and proved to be very good value for money, providing substantial portions and good quality ingredients. The planning team were in contact regularly and had a good deal of knowledge about what works at this particular venue, making adaptations and additions to support our vision. They worked well with all our other suppliers, who have all been complimentary about the team at The Treehouse. For a small-ish wedding of 40-60 people, the Treehouse is an ideal venue and I would absolutely recommend. It is beautiful, both inside and out, and needs very little decoration in order to be a completely magical place, however the team worked closely with us to decorate and add personal touches to make the day truly special.

We had our wedding reception at the Pavilion in October with 80 guests and the whole event was amazing and hassle free thanks to Tracy and the team. The venue was magical, twinkly and a bit of a show stopper when people arrive and see the cascade! It’s the perfect backdrop to have photos and you don’t need to be miles away from your guests to get some incredible photos. Tracy did a beautiful job of setting out our DIY decor, but the room was so lovely and magical all on its own too. All the staff were fantastic and nothing felt like a hassle, it just happened as planned and we had the most brilliant time eating and dancing while it all happened in the background - exactly what you want. The food was also great and a number of guests commented on how good it was. We can’t recommend this venue enough, very reasonably priced too for such a unique and special location. We just wish we could do it again!

From the first time we visited the venue, we knew St. Chad's was the venue where we wanted to get married. Located in the heart of Durham, right next to the Cathedral, it's an absolute hidden gem. The venue itself is full of character, with a beautiful, glass roofed quad, and the grounds are absolutely stunning, complete with a lovely little chapel. From the first time we met them, Lesley and Darryl were always on hand to answer any queries, and put our minds at rest, and they (along with all of the other staff on the day) helped our wedding day run absolutely perfectly. Every single one of our guests commented on how absolutely stunning the venue looked and how incredible the food was. We would 100% recommend St. Chad's as a perfect wedding venue.

Venue is amazing, if you want something a little bit different we cannot recommend The Biscuit Factory enough. All the staff are so helpful and a big thank you to Katie for helping us have the laid back wedding we were looking for and going the extra mile when we decided to have a photographer! Guests have commented on how fab the venue is and how much they enjoyed the food. The Biscuit Factory ticked all the boxes for our fantastic Wedding day.
