Historical background

Built at the end of the 19th century and perfectly restored in 2001, it was the home of Angiolo Silvio Novaro, a well-known poet of the time and Italy's academician for literature, as well as a friend of illustrious Italian literary figures such as Giovanni Verga, Gabriele D'Annunzio, Edmondo De Amicis, Pellizza da Volpedo and the American president and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Theodore Roosevelt, who were often guests at the poet's home.
