Villa Rezzonico is a splendid and luxurious mansion built in the early 1700s at the behest of Pope Clement XIII. Its enchanting architecture preserves the charm and refinement of a clear example of neoclassicism linear in form. With its rooms featuring a thousand fascinations, both exterior and interior, it is perfect for hosting an unforgettable wedding reception.
Facilities and Capacity
Villa Rezzonico is as grand a setting as one can imagine for a memorable celebration. In its central body, guarded by the crouching lions that watch over its grand staircase, the grand hall of honour opens majestically, housing a painting on canvas by Gian Battista Volpato entitled The Fall of the Giants, depicting thundering Jupiter striking down the Titans. As a testament to the prestige of this noble residence, a large and significant canvas by Canova, The Triumph of Faith, remains.
In this enchanting great hall, you will host your guests for a beautiful wedding banquet, with a capacity of about 250 people in one space that expands to 500 seats using the villa's other rooms.
A splendid 18th-century barn, another fascinating space enriched with precious architectural elements, can accommodate up to 100 guests.
Villa Rezzonico is surrounded by a lush park where numerous Istrian stone statues of mythological figures rest, and a beautiful fountain stands out in a central position. It is made more magnificent by the number and variety of centuries-old trees and palm trees that exude an all-Venetian taste. During the warm season, it is set up to celebrate exclusive outdoor receptions with a capacity of up to 2000 guests.
