Facilities and Capacity

As you approach voco Oxford Thames, the sweeping tree-lined driveway reveals the beautiful sandstone buildings. You'll find yourself mesmerized by the medieval barns and grade II listed 15th Century manor house. Nestled within 30 acres of grounds, this breathtaking hotel also sits on the bank of the River Thames for waterfront vows, cocktail hours, and champagne toasts.

voco Oxford Thames' characterful Little Barn is the ideal setting for weddings of up to 60 guests for the day and 80 for the evening reception. While the modern Oxford Suite, overlooking the meadows, allows for something a little different, with the flexibility to host up to 120 guests for a seated meal and up to 200 guests for the evening reception. The bright, spacious Conservatory has a mixture of old and new decor and is ideal for over 100 guests seated or standing. And lets not forget our fabulous riverside gazebo to host your ceremony or drinks reception

Best day ever :)

I just got married at Voco Oxford Thames, and it was about as perfect as I could have hoped for. It was a gorgeous venue - the old buildings combined with newer bits, and the grounds down to the river, with a gazebo to get married under. The rooms we stayed in the night before, and the night of, the wedding, was large, clean, and comfy. All the amemnities were excellent. The service on the day was impeccable - everyone got the right food, there was plenty of staff and they were very prompt with the food, and attentive. They were very accomodating with two of our guests who had quite specific dietary requirements, which meant a lot to us as it allowed them to join us for the day. The food itself was also delicious! Also the organisation around the day was excellent - Julieanne and Casandra, the wedding coordinators, and Andy, the Toastmaster, were a massive help in organising and directing the event itself.

Overall I, and my wife, are really thankful to everyone at Voco who helped make our wedding day so great, they did a phenomenal job ,and I would wholeheartedly recommend them as a wedding venue to others.

Spring Wedding

The hotel went above and beyond! The staff are amazing, and the day ran like clock work. I have to mention the toastmaster Andy who did a fabulous job and you can tell he truly cares about the bride and groom having the best day possible. Our wedding coordinator Julieanne did an amazing job with coordinating the day. We loved every minute! And all our guests enjoyed themselves and all commented how beautiful the venue is!

Amazing! Beautiful for indoor and outdoor weddings

We had our wedding at Voco Oxford Thames this year and it was genuinely the best day of our lives. We are forever grateful to the Voco team.

We were originally supposed to be a 2021 wedding, however made the tough choice to postpone given the pandemic. The staff were so honest and realistic about the reality of postponing and when we did postpone the process was very easy and hassle-free. We were lucky that they had the exact same weekend available the following year and appreciated that they honoured your 2021 prices for us.

Their organisation was impeccable and Julieanne is truly amazing at her job. Everything felt so organised and professional and the whole day (even the meal service with all of the dietary requirements!) ran so smoothly. We were so reassured at every meeting that we were in great hands and felt so confident with our venue choice.

The food was incredible. We were blown away on our menu tasting and it was so impressive that they can produce such high quality and beautifully presented food to such a mass number. So many people complimented the food, we had guests wanting the recipe for the sauce with the chicken and others mentioned it was the best wedding food they had ever had!

All of the staff were so friendly too. Everyone from reception, the bar staff and the waiters/waitresses already had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble.

Even though it did rain, Voco’s interior was so stunning that it didn’t matter. So many of our guests commented on how lovely the hotel was and what an excellent venue it was for a wedding.

We couldn’t recommend Voco Oxford Thames more and am sure you they will make many other couples very happy.

A wonderful wonderful day!

Julieanne and her team worked really hard to take all the pressure and stress off us on the day. We felt extremely comfortable in their hands and the day ran smoothly under their guidance. Planning a wedding is not a small job, but having everything at this wonderful venue with this team made it as close to stress-free as possible. A huge thanks to you all for a wonderful and memorable day!

Stunning venue, incredible staff, great food!

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone at the Voco Oxford Thames who helped make our wedding day so perfect - in particular Julieanne (wedding co-ordinator), Andy (toastmaster) and the catering team.

When we were choosing our reception venue we didn't pay much attention to hotels - however, the Voco Thames blew us away with it's gorgeous setting, feeling of relative exclusivity (it isn't, but with no other events in the hotel and various private interconnecting spaces including a bar, we never noticed any other hotel guests), large spaces and value for money.

Julieanne was incredible from start to finish. She was always easy to contact and arrange meetings with as needed, recommended suppliers to suit our budget, and accommodated various requests and amendments to the packages to make our wedding bespoke to us. Together with Andy who was superb on the day, we had every confidence that our wedding day would run smoothly, meaning we could enjoy the time with each other and our guests. Finally, the chefs and catering staff outdid themselves with the delicious and promptly/professionally served food. We had so many comments about how amazing the food was, with it firmly placing as many peoples 'best wedding food', and many guests in awe of how they managed to serve high quality (and piping hot!) food to 100 people so quickly.

Overall, an incredible venue with wonderful staff, and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

A HUGE thank you!

I just want to say A HUGE thank you for all your help and hard work making our wedding perfect. The day ran so smoothly and we enjoyed every moment of it! You were so accommodating, and we really appreciated your attention to detail. I knew I could relax on the day knowing you were in charge. The whole team at Oxford Thames were so helpful and very professional. We have had so many compliments about the venue and have been told by many of our guests it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

Best day ever!

We had the BEST DAY EVER! Everything went exactly how we wanted it to. Thank you so much for all your help over the last 2 years. I would also like to thank the 2 ladies that were on the front desk as they were so helpful, there was nothing that was too trouble. The food was amazing and we would love to come back for dinner soon!

Genuinely Perfect

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and your colleagues for the amazing job everyone did on our wedding day!

My guests were blown away not only by the beautiful venue but the food and how helpful the staff were! It was flawless from start to finish! The Master of Ceremony was so helpful and super friendly. He definitely made the day go very smoothly!

I was fully prepared that there is no such thing as the perfect day and that there would be hiccups but as far as I’m aware there were none! It was genuinely the best day!

Fantastic

We want to thank you and all the staff at Oxford Thames Hotel for the truly superb time we all had at our wedding over the weekend.

In particular, our gratitude to all the staff for their unfailing helpfulness, friendly yet professional manner, and just being there whenever needed. Also, the Wedding Breakfast exceeded our expectations - and the waiters and waitresses were lovely. I can't praise you all highly enough.

We loved every aspect of the hotel and its grounds, and are only sorry that we couldn't do justice to the gardens due to the weather - but never mind, we all just got on with having a great time in the various settings you provided.

Thank you Robyn for being a fantastic Wedding Coordinator. I hope your ears have been ringing for the last few days from the constant praise we've given you. I'll never forget our wonderful wedding weekend at the Oxford Thames Hotel.

Perfect

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Oxford Thames hotel, but more especially to Robyn for everything that she did for us. Her support, patience, and enthusiasm during the planning process made everything so much easier for us, and we really enjoyed working with her and the team.

As for the day itself, it was just seemless. And even the weather played along! Please also thank the toastmaster for us. Many of the guests commented on how great he was!

Best Day

Thank you so much for helping organise our wedding day!

You’ve been so helpful all the way through and we had the best day, as did our guests.

All of the staff on the day were brilliant and so helpful and friendly, they all did a fab job. They made it so stress-free for us!

The food was lovely and a lot of guests commented on how good it was!
