Voewood is located just outside the popular georgian town of Holt in Norfolk. A grade II listed building that dates back to the early 1900's. It is set in enchanted sunken gardens completely encircled by woodland. Voewood is a house of great beauty and a unique expression of the Arts and Crafts movement. Built in the shape of a Butterfly, the house has a lavish sense of space and light. The beautifully crafted interiors are inventive and courageous, an eclectic combination of contemporary art, retro pieces and rock 'n' roll memorabilia.

Voewood has been hosting extraordinary weddings for over 20 years. Unpretentious with an independant spirit, Voewood gives you the freedom and confidence to design your wedding in your own way. It inspires imagination and creativity and sets the scene for the most unforgettable day of your lives.

The house is available to hire out in its entirety over three days allowing time to prepare, and to fully immerse yourself in your wedding celebrations. We can offer midweek and weekend weddings.

Accommodation

Voewood can accommodate up to 42 guests in 17 individually designed rooms featuring hand-painted walls and furnishings. Our bridal suite is spacious and light, and provides a perfect space to prepare for your wedding day.

The house is well equipped for your guests staying and towels are provided.

The Ceremony

If you are choosing to host your whole wedding at Voewood, we have various locations that are licensed for your ceremony.

• Music room - Licensed for up to 30 guests. Beautiful for a small and intimate ceremony.
• Dining room - Licensed for up to 50 guests.
• Main banqueting hall - Licensed for up to 120 guests.
• Outside areas - We have various spaces outside that can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Wedding Breakfast

Our main banqueting hall can provide space for a maximum of 120 guests on long banqueting tables. There is an option to extend off the main hall with a purpose built marquee that attaches to the house to increase capacity or to provide more room. This can be hired separately.

Marquees can be hired and set in various locations in the garden. This is a great option if your numbers are high.

We have a list of trusted suppliers who we can recommend and know the house well. These include some fabulous caterers who will guide you in choosing your menus. Alternatively you can bring in your own suppliers and we will support them with whatever they need for their set up.

There is no corkage fee and therefore if you want to supply your own drinks, that's fine. We can also recommend a great bar service that we work with regularly and know Voewood well.

After party!

The day doesn't have to stop at midnight! We now have our very own 'Pink Lloyds' cellar bar! The music and celebrations can carry on into the early hours until 2am, giving you extra time to create perfect moments together.
