Walcot Hall is a hidden gem of a wedding venue located in the heart of the Shropshire Hills. The estate has a rich history dating back to the 1700s and, in recent years, has been brought back to its former glory by the current owners.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples have the option to welcome their guests on-site with some informal drinks, or a BBQ the night before the wedding. The next morning, guests can dine on a leisurely breakfast, fueling them for the day ahead. The happy couple can hold their wedding breakfast in the large turquoise Ballroom, which can seat up to 120 guests, and an evening reception for up to 200. This incredible room features large windows and a plaster ceiling adorned with stunning chandeliers. While natural light pours in during the day, after hours, the ambient space radiates romance. The Main Hall in the house is licensed for indoor wedding ceremonies, and there is also a beautiful summer house in the gardens where couples can exchange vows in the warmer months. The vast gardens also have ample space for mingling, a drinks reception, games, and photo opportunities.

Services Offered

Couples can hire the wedding venue site exclusively for a full 48 hours over a weekend or during the week. This enables the newlyweds to make the most of their wedding getaway, enjoying precious time spent with friends and family. While there is no in-house catering team, couples are welcome to bring in outside vendors and suppliers of their choosing. Walcot Hall's wedding coordinator can assist in arranging the details of the celebration.

Accommodations

Walcot Hall has a variety of self-catering accommodations on-site. These range from traditional cottages in the old stable yard to our Victorian Tin Chapel in the woods, a converted timber framed.
