Watermouth Cove Weddings is a three generation, family run, charming coastal wedding venue located in Ilfracombe, along the North Devon coastline. Here, couples can choose from an array of breath-taking ceremony locations. The sweeping natural vistas on display here provide the perfect wedding celebration backdrop. With exclusive use of their Private Cove and Caves, your wedding can embody more than just 24 hours – celebrations over multiple days can create memories that last a lifetime.

Watermouth Cove Weddings offers a variety of beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that can host all kinds of nuptial occasions. Here, couples can choose from two stunning ceremony areas.
One of our most loved locations is Viewpoint. With bench seating for 125 guests, it’s situated on the cliff edge. This ceremony area overlooks the North Devon Coastline, guaranteeing you breath-taking photographs to look back on in years to come. With a backdrop of Combe Martin, Hangman Hill and the secluded Broadsands Beach, the view showcases the beauty that North Devon has to offer. A 30 second walk from Viewpoint, yet nestled into woodland greenery, is The Woodland Barn. With seating for 125 guests, The Woodland Barn showcases a beautiful open plan vaulted ceiling with exposed timbers. Huge countryside barn doors, this is the perfect setting for your indoor ceremony. Outside The Woodland Barn is a rustic stone wishing well, not only a beautiful picture opportunity for your guests to enjoy, but is dedicated to the family members and friends that can’t be there to celebrate your special day.
For your wedding breakfast - overlooking the Cove, The Beach House is the perfect setting for you, and up to 125 guests to enjoy your Wedding Breakfast. With real tree trunk pillars, rustic oak floorboards, vast hanging wicker lamp shades, and banquet style tables this venue creates the perfect ambience for your rustic coastal reception area. The Beach House transforms at night to the perfect location to dance your night away, staff will clear your tables away and create a dedicated space for a dance floor, with lots of room and electric points for a DJ/Band to set up if you wish to hire one and has an extended patio area overlooking The Cove with seating and umbrellas for guests to relax during the celebrations. Located next to The Beach House is The Snug, a dedicated area for your guests to escape to during your reception if they wish to get away from the dance floor and loud music. Quiet, calm, cosy, and filled with sofas and cuddle chairs, it’s the perfect area to catch up with old family and friends you haven’t seen in years. The Snug also lends itself effortlessly to becoming a focal meeting point upon arrival of your guests. Located within The Snug is a pay bar that opens the hour before your Ceremony, so there’s no need to worry about keeping your friends and family entertained, The Snug will do that all for you.

Do not second guess this venue - just book it.
Absolutely everything went smoothly - the venue adapted to our requests and delivered everything they promised and more.
The staff make this venue what is it - utterly perfect. From day one of meeting Zoe, Georgia and the family/team behind this incredible venue, we knew this was no wedding factory. The team were there for us, to make our special day so memorable and personal. All communication has been prompt and no question has felt too silly for them. Organising was simple and with the experience under their belts, they have a wealth of knowledge to tap into if your stuck on something and are slick with all their management on the day, but by no means mechanical.
The food was incredible - despite over running, it all came out hot. Our guests were SO happy with it all. We had quite a few dietary requirements, one of which was particularly challenging, but they catered for them exceptionally well, with our tricky guest gushing with compliments about the food they received as they're used to getting a s*** bowl of lettuce.
Having watched the venue progress since we booked over 2 years ago, we have seen them win awards and they're not sitting back on their success and clocking up the bookings, they're pumping money back into the site, developing their accommodation and adding thoughtful touches - I think I might have to get married again just to see how incredible the venue is in another few years time ;-) !
Accommodation was a huge plus side - having half of our guests stay on site was amazing, The caravans are obviously a bit retro, but were super clean and comfy - our guests were delighted with their fun caravan stay! The cottages are so tastefully done, clean and comfy and all accommodation is so well equipped for self catering. The penthouse bridal suite was just a real treat - spacious and perfect to relax in before our big day.
I don't think you'll find another venue in this country with so much space, stunning views, caves to explore, swimming pools, heaps of accommodation and run by such an exceptional team. I could write for pages and pages, but I'll stop now. Just go and visit them!

Without Doubt the most beautiful location in the UK
Watermouth Cove is an amazing venue with a fantastic mixture of both modern and rustic. Not only is the surrounding area truly breathtaking but the venue it self is absolutely stunning too!
Everything about the venue is superb, the Accommodation, the indoor ceremony room, the outdoor ceremony area with its spectacular views, the courtyard and of course the beach and the caves! The caves make this venue more unique than any other I have ever filmed.
The reception room is fantastic, it offers plenty of room which allow photographers and videographers to get the shots they need without being intrusive to the wedding party. The abundance of outdoor areas for guests to mingle and relax after a long day of celebrating are a great touch and definitely add the the charm of the venue. The dance floor was quite small in comparison to other venues but I loved this because it just encouraged everyone to get in the mix and have a real good time!
I have already recommended the venue to a number of my clients as well as a close family member who is in the process of arranging their wedding.

Join us at the stunning Watermouth Cove Wedding Venue on Sunday 12th January 11 am - 4 pm, for a fun packed day of wedding inspiration.
Nestled on the breathtaking North Devon coastline, our 27 acre venue will be open to all couples planning their weddings for 2025, 2026/2027 and beyond. Explore our gorgeous Viewpoint ceremony area with coastal views, fall in love with our intimate Woodland Barn, or cosy up in our Snug Bar and Stonehouse whilst enjoying a glass of prosecco on the house.
Our open day is the perfect opportunity to explore the venue, and get started on your wedding planning journey. We will be offering canapes from our menus, to enable you to get a taste for the quality and style of our food. Our drink options will be on display for you to sample, and our fabulous accommodation will be open for you to view. Tables will be laid up with inspiring décor, The Stonehouse, Snug, Barn & Viewpoint will be available to see fully set up, as if ready for a wedding day.
We will also be showcasing some of our optional extras for your wedding day or ‘night before’. Such as our Ice Cream & Cookie Station, Wood Fired Pizza Station, Fizz Wall, Pimp your Drinks Station, Garden Games.
In addition to all this, we will have live hair and make-up demo's in our fabulous Glamroom, bridal attire on display, live music, informative talks, and some of the our favourite wedding suppliers in the Southwest, all here to answer your questions about your special day.
This is a very informal event, we want you to feel relaxed at Watermouth...so dedicate this day to explore the venue and tick a few of those important wedding decisions off of your 'to do' list!
Our Venue Owners, Wedding Coordinators, Hospitality Manager, Maitre D, Head Chef and Sous-Chef will all be on hand to offer suggestions, and answer all of your queries.
This is a free of charge event, but we do ask that you book a ticket for all in your party who are attending, in order that we know how many people to cater for. We will cater for allergens on the day, however, please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements such as Nuts, Coeliac, Dairy, Vegetarian, Vegan.
