My husband and I got married at Waterside Country Barn in June 2023. It’s hard to put into words just how magical our day was because of this beautiful venue and the amazing team that run it. Its location is gorgeous and feels very remote, when in reality it’s easy taxi distance to Wellington or Taunton for your guests. The gorgeous barn and lake give ample opportunities for ceremony and reception options. We had our ceremony outside on a sunny day, and it was all we’d dreamed of, followed by a delicious Mediterranean BBQ feast in the barn, seated on long tables that my bridal party and I had loving decorated the day before. As one of the greatest joys of the venue is that you’re not on a wedding merry-go-round, one wedding in, another out with strict timings. No, you get the venue the day before and morning after your wedding, to decorate, spend time with friends and family and generally settle in. It’s lush! We wanted a relaxed, happy day with all of our friends and family and that’s precisely what we had.

Now for Georgia and her team. Georgia is the owner/wedding co-ordinator at the venue and is loveliest person you’ll meet. She is so knowledgable about her venue and how you can get the most out of it. Which is easily done, as we had 4/5 planning sessions in the run up to our wedding with Georgia at the venue, which was so useful for me. I know some venues only offer 1, and some none at all. But by having so many sessions we got to know Georgia so well and venue, that by the time it came to our day it felt so familiar and we were so comfortable there. Georgia and the venue offer so much flexibility with their options that you can truly make your day yours. From table layouts, welcome drinks options, food options, evening entertainment, ceremony decoration and everything in between, can all be tailored to precisely how you want it. Georgia and her fab team will then take amazing care of you on the day itself and ensure that everything goes off without a hitch, and if there is one - they’ll fix it for you! We had such a special day because of Georgia and her team and how ease they made us feel. I truly can’t say enough great things about them.

We got married at Waterside Country Barn on 24/05/24. The day was incredible!

We knew that we wanted to book as soon as we left the venue. We cancelled all of our other venue viewings and emailed Georgia almost immediately. She made us feel so welcome and the venue was just perfect for us.

Georgia and the team at WCB are amazing and worked so hard to ensure we had the best day ever. We have had so many compliments from guests on how beautiful the grounds are, how friendly and accommodating the staff were and how fantastic the day was. The bar had a wide variety of drinks and the food was incredible. The grounds are beautifully kept and the little cabins are just beautiful.

The team worked perfectly with our other vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. The day was everything we could have imagined and more and a lot of that is down to the amazing WCB team.

The whole planning experience was perfect. Georgia was always on hand to answer any questions we had and she really helped to take the weight off of our shoulders. She made the whole process so relaxed and enjoyable. She would recommend things we hadn’t thought of and she ensured that nothing was left undone. Even on the day, there were little surprises I didn’t expect! Georgia and the team were present during the day and it was so nice to share our special day with them.

We are so glad we chose this venue and would recommend it to everyone. We have absolutely no regrets and want to do it all over again!

Georgia and her team created the perfect day for us. I was quite clueless at where to start with wedding planning and didn’t have a full vision but Georgia helped me so much with what we would be able to achieve. She was patient, supportive and kind. The day went so smoothly and everyone commented on this. We were impressed with the quality of the food and the gorgeous shepherds huts. We were lucky enough to use the new room to get ready in and I felt so relaxed all day. I know this is down to Georgia and her team.

The moment we saw Waterside Country Barn, we knew it was the venue for us, Georgia was fab from start to finish, & made us feel at every meeting that everything was taken care of, all our freinds and family commented on how amazing the venue was, it was truly the best day of our lives & we couldn’t recommend Waterside Country Barn enough.

Waterside Country Barn was the absolute perfect venue for us, I don’t think I could have imagined a better place for our wedding. We still get compliments about it 2 years on from our friends and family! Georgia & Al were so lovely to work with and brought everything together with no stress. I didn’t know much about what I wanted so our pre-wedding meetings with Georgia were always so useful as she had great insights into what she could do for the day and helped us bring our personalities into the already beautiful venue. The whole experience was relaxed and easy so I wasn’t stressed before or on the day which I feel is rare!

Our experience with Waterside Country Barn was incredible from start to finish. Georgia made us feel so welcome and we knew we were going to book as soon as we got out the car! Our package covered everything we needed and Georgia was always around to answer any questions that we had. The staff were so friendly and felt more like guests. The best thing about this venue is we felt like we were really able to create the perfect wedding for us as a couple – we could design our menu, drinks choices, décor and timings to suit us. My daughter got married at Waterside Country Barn last month & the whole experience was wonderful. Staff, venue, food & wedding planners were excellent which made the day a truly memorable day.

The weekend of the the wedding will be a memory that lasts a lifetime.

Lauren was there every step of the way from first thing Friday morning, hauling hay bales into place, to Georgia sweeping up swan poo the morning of the wedding. They get stuck in with every task throughout the whole weekend.

Our wedding day was magical, which was only added to by the friendly nature and hard work of the bar and waiting staff.

The little touches meant the world to us, and Waterside Country Barn will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had a clear vision of how we wanted our wedding. We have a lot of friends & family that have all got married around Taunton and Somerset and we wanted some new and different!

We knew the only way to celebrate was with all our nearest and dearest and one large party combined.

From our first meeting with Georgia she knew what we wanted. We wanted people to walk in and know that this day was all about us.

Month on month of meetings and planning we had our dream party…with the formal part just before.

This venue is very special and I wish we could do it all again!

Our wedding at Waterside Country Barn was incredible, from our initial contact with Georgia everything was soo easy, Georgia thought of lots of little things we hadn’t even thought of and knows the job inside out! Waterside Country Barn is the most beautiful venue in picturesque grounds. We did not look at any other venues as we knew this was where we wanted to marry in front of all of our friends and family.
