Facilities and Capacity

Weddings at QMUL - Queen Mary University of London are held in The Octagon, which can accommodate up to 240 guests for a sit-down dinner. This stunning space has cathedral ceilings that reach three storeys tall and are topped by a glass dome that showers the room in natural light. All around, you will be surrounded by shelves of brightly-coloured books and busts of the great English literati, including Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Wordsworth. The Octagon is also licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 200 people. After tying the knot, you can step outside to the foyer, courtyard, or front lawn under the Queen's Clocktower for your drinks reception. The Octagon will then be flipped and set for your wedding breakfast.
