Weddings in the Wood is a beautiful festival-style wedding venue located in Lyndhurst, Hampshire. We have a license to hold wedding ceremonies and civil partnership services in our Carpenter's Barn, and we can also arrange woodland wedding blessings. The barn itself can accommodate around 100 guests for a sit-down meal. Our semi-permanent marquee on the woodland deck extends the covered space, seating a further 125 guests. Additional marquees can be put up on the lawn if required. After the wedding feast, the tables and chairs can be cleared to create a huge dance floor.

Ceremonies

The Registration and Marriage Acts require that all civil marriages are conducted by a superintendent registrar and registered by a registrar of marriages, both of whom are appointed under the Hampshire Registration Scheme by the Head of Registration. Couples marrying in our approved premises will be responsible for paying a Hampshire County Council Fee for the attendance of these registration officers.

Catering arrangements

We have experience working with couples who have opted for a low-budget DIY style option right through to formal silver service catering. We can usually accommodate you, whatever your idea - BBQ, hog roast, picnic hampers, fish and chip van, paella evening, thai curry night, cream teas, ice cream parlour, self-service buffets, formal served hot meals. Reception drinks

You can provide your own wine, sparkling wine, champagne, or soft drink to serve a single glass per guest upon arrival at your reception without incurring any corkage charges.
