The White Horse is the perfect wedding venue nestled in the picturesque village of Hertingfordbury in Hertfordshire. We offer bespoke service assuring that every aspect of your wedding day will be taken care of. Our highly attentive and experienced team will attend to every detail so that you can relax and enjoy your special day.

We offer an exclusive venue hire of our venue to smaller more intimate weddings in our function room. With its light, airy and vibrant décor, The White Horse, Hertingfordbury lends itself perfectly to any occasion.

WEDDING BREAKFAST

Our in house chef will work with you to create the perfect menu for your special day, whether that be a champagne reception with canapes, a four course wedding breakfast or an evening buffet.

We can offer the very best quality of ingredients, excellent service, for competitive prices.

With seven individually designed en suite bedrooms, The White Horse offers the perfect location for you, friends and family to relax. Whether it’s drinking a glass of champagne on the terrace or discussing the wedding with family at breakfast the following morning our aim is to provide you with the peace of mind that enable you to relax and enjoy your stay.

7 EN-SUITE BEDROOMS & BREAKFAST All rooms are individually decorated bedrooms with en suite facilities, television, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. All our rooms have Free Wi Fi. Breakfast is big, British and beautifully cooked or light and continental, whichever takes your fancy

A perfect wedding day

The staff at this family run hotel were amazing. A very friendly welcome was given and it felt like they were all old friends. The service we received was excellent and the food exquisite, hot and everyone was served on time in a delightful setting . We found that planning the day could not have been easier due to the professionalism of the staff. The accommodation was full of character and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly recommend this venue for your wedding day and are confident you will be delighted with your choice as we were. The White Horse made a happy occasion absolutely perfect.

Everything and more!

From the first visit, we knew that the White Horse would be our wedding venue. Our day couldn't have been more perfect. The hotel rooms, venue, food, staff and service were fantastic. Our friends and family were blown away with the venue and the food was exceptional. The ability to hire the hotel rooms, bar and restaurant meant that we had the whole place to ourselves and the opportunity to have breakfast together the following morning. A special thank you to Kate, for helping us throughout the planning and all the staff for making our day better than we could have imagined.

A beautiful and intimate wedding venue in Hertfordshire

The White Horse could not have done more to make our day special. It's a beautiful venue in a lovely Hertfordshire village, and they really went above and beyond to make sure the decoration was all we wanted. The food was incredible and all the guests told us after what a wonderful wedding it was. We couldn't have asked for more, as Kate and the team were so great in everything they did for us.

Our perfect wedding day

A huge thank you to Kate and the team for making our wedding day perfect.
You all worked so hard and couldn't have done any more.
The venue is stunning even with a few rain showers thrown in on the day. Lol
Compliments were flowing from all our guests on the service, venue and amazing hog roast...

The perfect choice for an intimate wedding reception

We had a fantastic event for 28 at the private dining room @ the White Horse. Kate and the team were so welcoming and accomodating and nothing was too much trouble. The room was intimate and beautiful, and everybody said how great the food was! They will accomodate your budget, and I would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic venue. We even managed to squeeze a singer in. Thankyou so much for helping make our special day perfect!

The White Horse are a dream team - what a day!

We organised our wedding within 3 months, and Kate and the team were just fantastic at making it all happen at such short notice. They were prepared to be flexible and accommodate changes, and every little detail was thought through carefully. We really felt like we were in safe hands. Everybody raved about the food and said what a wonderful venue. For Mick and I, what shone through is that they REALLY cared about us and our special day, and looked after all our guests beautifully. And the best bit, is that we can pop back for Sunday lunch any time! Cannot fault them, highly recommended. x

Beautiful venue for our wedding celebration

We had our wedding celebration at The White Horse and we wouldn't fault them in any way. The venue was beautiful and Kate and the staff took all the stress out of organising and setting up for our celebration. We had an amazing day and many of our guests have commented on how great the food was. All the staff were so attentive and made our day really special. The rooms were also gorgeous and we had a lovely breakfast with our close friends and family the next day. Compared to other venues we considered we could have a bit of everything at The White Horse - a sit down meal but also dancing afterwards - all for great value in our opinion. Having visited The White Horse in the past for food, we knew having our wedding celebration there would be great, but it far exceeded all our expectations in the best way!

The perfect venue for our wedding!

We had our wedding party at the White Horse, and they made everything perfect!
We didn't want the 'normal' sit down meal, and they accommodated everything for us. The day ran so smoothly and they made it so special.

The White Horse made our dream Wedding Day come true!

We were looking for a venue at incredibly short notice due to personal reasons and also needing somewhere to fit in with the Covid restrictions that were in place.
Kate and Taylor were AMAZING, not only did they agree to everything we had envisioned, they went one step beyond. Kate was friendly, professional and empathetic to our situation.
I couldn't have gotten everything done without them. The venue was beautiful and our guests were so impressed! It wasn't the day we originally had planned but it turned out to be so much better!

Perfect place for a wedding!

A massive thank you to Kate and the team at The White Horse, we had our wedding here on the 6th July 2024 and could not have wished for a better day!

From our first visit to the pub in 2023 to book the day, the team were so accommodating to our requests and questions, they always responded so quickly and nothing was ever too much. The planning process was made so simple because of them.

We hired the restaurant, function room and side garden for the whole day, and although we brought our own decorations and flowers, the pub décor is so beautiful, we didn't need to do much to make it special enough for the big day.

All our guests have been commenting on how perfect the pub was to have a wedding, the brilliant service from the staff and the delicious food that was served. Although we did get rain on and off throughout the day the staff did their best to make sure everything went to plan and we could enjoy the sunshine and outside bar when it did come out.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and The White Horse were the ones to make that happen! Thank you so much! We highly recommend them to celebrate a wedding :)

Easy, relaxed but professional

We hired the whole venue for our wedding reception including the hotel rooms. Kate, Taylor and their team were super flexible and relaxed, whilst also remaining professional. They made everything feel easy and stress free, nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was excellent and they were willing to discuss exactly what you want. Got lots of comments about how lovely it was from the guests. I was just sad we had to turn of the music at 11pm, I could have partied all night!

Absolutely made our day

The White Horse offered us everything we wanted.
We wanted something small and intimate for 55 guests and from our first meeting with Kate we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding reception.
Our guests are still talking about the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding which really shows how much the White Horse care about your special day.
We lucked out on the weather and managed to have the terrace open for drinks before we sat down to eat which was really special.
Kate helped recommended how best to spend our wedding budget and especially helped select our wine which was also a huge hit.
She was always on hand and helped assist in anything we needed help on.

Our perfect wedding day

Our wedding at the White Horse was everything we wanted it to be. It was relaxed, fun, the food was great, drinks flowed and we had a fantastic party. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding receoption there and Kate, Taylor and the team made it so easy and ensured everything went to plan. Thank you thank you!

Couldn't recommend highly enough

We had our wedding here in May. The whole experience was excellent, from the planning to the day it all went smoothly and the team were so helpful. The food was delicious, and on the day we couldn't rate the staff highly enough, so responsive, attentive and available to help on demand. Our guests have all commented how amazing the team were and how delicious the food was. Excellent value for money, and service is second to none. Couldn't rate highly enough. Cerri & Kieran
