Whilst this review has been in the making some time following our wedding in July this year, we simply felt time was needed to do absolute justice to the truly wonderful venue that is Wilde Lodge.

Having been to see a few venues around our local area prior to booking, we had continued to leave venues somewhat overwhelmed and deflated. We had started wondering if that feeling of knowing a venue is 'the one' was a simple fairy tale.

That was however until we stumbled across Wilde Lodge back in 2023 and thankfully booked ourselves in for one of the many open days they were offering to perspective couples. Whilst some may say it was the delicious cinnamon buns that drew us in (and they wouldn't be lying), it was hard not to fall in love with the beautiful grounds, lodge and white wash walls of the venues wedding barn (just one of the many places the venue has to offer for your ceremony to take place).

It was on that day and upon driving back down the tree lined lane that we knew Wilde Lodge was meant for us and their was no other place we wished to get married.

Whilst the venues location and utter character is hard to beat, it is the staff who truly make Wilde Lodge what it is with their dedication, kindness and hospitality. From the staff behind the bar, to those cleaning tables and all of the other tasks that go on behind the scene, every single member helped to make our wedding day an utter success and we cannot thank them enough. We do however want to extend our special thanks to our truly amazing wedding coordinator Hannah who is an absolute angel and brought our wedding dreams to life. Not only on the wedding day itself but on the months leading up to the wedding, be that via email or during our scheduled check-ins Hannah was always on hand and helped to make the somewhat stressful time of planning a wedding a rewarding and much easier process. Not only ourselves but our whole family are forever grateful to Hannah, words will never be enough to thank her for what she did in helping us becoming a newly married couple.

Wilde Lodge will always have a special place in ours and our families hearts and we will remember our wedding day with memories of pure joy and happiness.

From the moment we saw Wilde Lodge online we knew it was the venue for us. You can personalise the day and relax knowing that the team would understand your vision and bring it to life (Jess - ❤️) We felt so comfortable here, our family and friends are still talking about how perfect it was. The grounds are perfect and no request is too much. The team worked seamlessly with our suppliers and were on hand for all our needs - from a quick glass of water before the ceremony to decorating with us on Friday.

We had our amazing day in August, at the stunning wilde lodge.

Wilde lodge was local to us so made sense for us to go to an open day. We were blown away by the stunning backdrop, and fell in love with the stunning ceremony location of the Long Barn. We had to book it. We also loved the fact that we could get the venue for the whole weekend meaning family from further afield could stay and making the whole process stress free. The fact we could set up the day before also meant we spent the morning of our wedding focused on us.

Jess our wedding coordinator was fantastic from start to finish. Not only was she simply lovely, she was easy to talk to and any questions we had she answered quickly. During the day she was always on hand, helping organise everything, being super reassuring, and providing much needed pina coladas.

A few amazing extras they have at Wilde Lodge also topped it off for us. Our dog was there on the day which a lot of venues don't allow. Jess even helped up put her harness on. They have a stunning Landrover to take you for photos which was amazing in it's own right. The bar staff were also stellar and just so lovely, making our own custom cocktails.

We cannot thank the team at Wilde lodge enough for all they did before, during and after our wedding, the genuine love, passion and commitment they have shines through. You genuinely feel part of the Wilde Lodge family and they calmly steer you through what could be a stressful time with ease.

From our first meeting with Jemma, then all the help and support from Hannah and Jess it has been an incredible time. Offering ideas, contacts, solutions and enthusiasm throughout.

Jess - you are incredible, thank you for all the help before and during and after....and for keeping Chris calm/running away on the big day!

If you have the chance to book for the weekend, don't hesitate, do it! You will not regret this, it makes the weekend more magical and special, it gives you the time to build up to the day, and relax and laugh about all that's just happened the next day.

Csons - oh my.....there are no words, no words to describe their food. Don't have any hesitation - the food is sensational, we lost count of all the glowing comments about the food, even from fussy guests (we had 110 guests and believe me we lost count of allergies people had - Csons were able to work round all of these!!).

Trust the whole team at Wilde lodge, they are simply incredible.

Thank you for making this the most incredible, special and beautiful weekend of our lives.

We could not imagine being elsewhere for our wedding, and feel privileged to have been able to be married there.

Jemma, Hannah & the whole team at Wilde Lodge were outstanding from the moment we first made contact to arrange a viewing, to the end of our wedding stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our wedding coordinator, Hannah, who we had regular communication with from 12 months before the big day. Friendly, warming, approachable & professional, she really did go above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The venue itself is gorgeous, a luxury big country house, with beautiful dining room perfect for hair & make up. The option of added Bell Tents for guests to stay in, garden games, wild walks, horses, open barns, safari tents - what more can you ask for!?

We honestly couldn't possibly put into words how happy and in love with our time at The Wilde lodge we are. We got married at the Wilde Lodge in September and it truly was the best weekend of our lives and was just magical the whole way through!
Every little thing was thought of to make sure our weekend was as relaxed (but still very much under control and stress free!) as possible. We really loved that from our first meeting with Jemma to look around less than a year before our wedding we felt so at home and comfortable and like she totally understood what we wanted and that nothing was too much trouble. Each check in meeting we had with Jemma or Hannah was brilliant for keeping us on track with planning but also meant that by our wedding weekend we were able to feel so relaxed knowing it was all taken care of.
We knew we wanted a wedding that was relaxed and less traditional, focusing just around having the chance to spend time and celebrate with our friends and family. Being able to have the whole lodge for the full three days meant we were really able to do that, having a big family dinner friday night was one of the highlights of our whole weekend! Hannah and Jemma took care of all of this for us cooking all the lasagnes and food we brought and laying it all out for us which took a huge pressure off us!

On Saturday morning they again prepared our breakfasts, in the dining room for the girls and out in the open barn for the boys which was so lovely and appreciated! Every member of staff couldn't have been more helpful.

During the whole wedding day they worked so hard making everything run smoothly without making it seem over organised or rushed in anyway at all as can often happen at weddings. Jemma even took my baby nephew and our dog Pippin off for a walk up the driveway while we had our ceremony and they had a lovely time sitting in sun and meant we didn't need to worry at all! All of the children who came to our wedding we so well catered to as well and had a lovely time playing on the lawns and exploring.
The grounds are just beautiful and the safari tent and long barn were the perfect size and we had so much fun decorating them! One of our favourite parts was going for a walk at golden hour with our dog Pippin with our photographer. As we came back down the driveway we could see all or friends and family having a wonderful time all spread out over the lawns, the really comfortable seats and playing lawn games. The food by Csons was absolutely amazing and all of our guests commented on how lovely and different it was.
On Sunday we had a big family breakfast with all our family staying at the lodge and a few friends that came back, again we gave the team all the food on the friday morning and they took care of it all cooking it and laying everything out for our breakfast in the dining room. Our wedding day was just magical but I'll also never forget those times in the dining room relaxing with family which were so special! For the rest of Sunday we were able to have a lovely day opening our cards, going for a walk and off for sunday lunch at a local pub and packing up in a really relaxed way.
I'd say being able to have all this time around our wedding day to just enjoy being together and take our time really made the weekend. With a lot of venues it being a rush to leave the next day, having the time meant we could really stay in our little wedding bubble and turn it into more of a holiday than just one day.
Everything the Wilde Lodge does is just perfect and everything we could have ever dreamed of. They really have it spot on and offer something so unique. We felt like we were welcomed like great friends and all of our friends and family said the same. The house is so comfortable and well equipped.
We can't thank you all enough! Jemma knows we never even visited another venue when deciding where to get married, the second we drove down the lovely Wilde lodge drive and met Jemma we just knew it was 100% the place for us and we were completely right

We spent almost a year looking for a wedding venue before finally finding Wilde Lodge. We wanted a relaxed celebration with our closest friends and family for our wedding day and Wilde Lodge was just absolutely perfect.

A huge thank you to everyone at Wilde Lodge for giving us the absolute wedding day. We would definitely be described as wedding averse but all the staff at the venue went above and beyond helping us create the best day and giving complete flexibility with what we wanted to do.

The house itself is absolutely gorgeous and everyone has raved about how great the venue is. The options for small weddings (under 30 guests for us) are also excellent if that's what you are looking for - the spaces are so versatile and somehow felt so intimate yet also a great space if you wanted a bigger celebration.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day and can't wait to come back one day!

Wilde Lodge is quite frankly the best place me and my wife have ever been to, with such beautiful scenery and large space for all of our wedding festivities. We had such a wonderful time with them, and were able to communicate lots with the team, especially Maddy who was able to message us actively throughout the process and qwell any worries that we were having, or answer any questions that came to mind.

As we had a small wedding, it was great that we could take the reigns a lot of the time while also having support with the setting up etc.

It was also a great experience as a same sex couple to not get any discrimination or bias at any point, and to get treated equally.

Would definitely recommend as a wedding venue!

Where can we start?!

We fell in love with Wilde Lodge the moment we found it online - let alone the private visit we had and then two subsequent trips for open days! We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable at every single visit.

The setting is so private and tranquil that we really felt like Wilde Lodge was 'ours' over our wedding stay, and that feeling will forever be a real highlight for us. The quality of the accommodation and various areas in which you can conduct your ceremony and reception is just incredible. Wilde Lodge is a truly luxurious countryside home and grounds!

The staff, however, were the cherry on top. Hannah, our magnificent wedding coordinator, was on hand from the very beginning - responding quickly to our numerous 'silly questions', checking in with us via video call and then being the most caring and supportive cheerleader when we arrived to set up...not to mention taking care of us both separately when nerves about public speaking inevitably hit. We don't think we've ever seen someone graft so hard and put in so many hours to make sure that we felt that everything was exactly how we pictured it.

We want to express our endless thanks to you Hannah, Gemma and your incredible team. You utterly and completely made our dreams come true. Nearly 4 weeks on we are still getting messages from friends and family gushing about how fantastic the day was, how relaxed and comfortable they felt and about how you all, without exception made them feel at home and welcome. Your warmth shone through in spite of the ‘changeable’ weather!

The venue is spectacular, so many amazing spaces and beautiful views, and the food by CSONS perfect. We had so many compliments, “this is not normal wedding food, this is spectacular food!” Thanks to you Hannah for indulging my last minute nerves about weather and ceremony location with endless kindness, ingenuity and patience(!); in the end, the long barn was a magical, intimate space where we felt surrounded by love; we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

We are overjoyed that we found Wilde Lodge and you all. You delivered the day we always hoped to achieve and more and you did it whilst making us feel like family. Your support and guidance in the run up to the day made us feel in such safe hands and took a lot of worry away from this stressed bride!

The venue is stunning! The staff are great and really make you feel at ease and super flexible. The day itself couldn't have gone better even though it rained the "plan b" was brilliant. Could not recommend more

We booked Wilde Lodge without even seeing it because we knew straight away this was the venue for us! From our first call, we could tell the team knew exactly what they were doing and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. No task was too small, from helping us secure Welsh and Scottish flags to the side of the house, to finding numerous guests blankets to camp with because they forgot their own, we don’t know what we would have done without the amazing Phoebe and her team.

The venue was gorgeous, set in such beautiful countryside with a wild swimming river that was perfect for our day after hangovers. We truly couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue or experience, if you’re thinking of booking Wilde Lodge I would urge you to do it, you will not regret it!

The regular check-in calls on the run up to the wedding were super useful - we would've been lost without their help. These made it easy to know exactly what we needed to do and when.

It was lovely to be greeted at the lodge on Friday, and their help that day was invaluable for the set up. It's amazing that we had the time to do this in a relaxed and enjoyable way. We had a great time hosting a BBQ with our closest friends and family the night before.

The accommodation at the lodge itself had everything we needed, and the bell tents were beautiful. It's such a great place to stay for the whole weekend, the mixture of the barns and activities on the grounds kept everyone occupied with something for everyone.

The seamless organisation was absolutely outstanding on the day and made for such a relaxed time for us as a couple. All the staff at Wilde Lodge were incredibly helpful and friendly.

We had so many comments from guests on how good the food was - massive shout out to CSONS for providing a delicious feast.

Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful, we had an fantastic time. It will serve as a special memory for many years to come

We have now been married 9 months and we can’t stop reliving the most wonderful wedding weekend.

The whole process from start to finish was completely stress free and there wasn’t anything that Maddie, Jemma, Hannah or the rest of the team couldn’t do. They kept in regular contact with us leading up to the day, recommended fantastic suppliers and were exceptional in organising the whole weekend.

Upon arrival, Jemma helped us to unload the cars and set up. She insisted that we took time together to sit down and enjoy a glass of Prosecco. Hannah also brought her homemade cake and biscuits.

The day itself was beyond perfect. Absolutely nothing went wrong; even if it had, we wouldn’t have known because Jemma and the team were all over it. All of our guests also commented on how fantastic the team were.

On Sunday we had a BBQ which Jemma cooked herself and we went to swim in the river which was such a lovely way to end the weekend.

We cannot thank Wilde Lodge enough. It is a weekend we will never forget. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress free, perfect wedding in an absolutely stunning area. I don’t use the word ‘perfect’ often but there is no other word to describe our whole experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you ☺️

It's hard to know where to start in praising Jemma, Kevin, Hannah, Jules, Jess, and all of the staff who worked so so hard before, during and after our wedding day, to make it the very best experience for us and our guests. The accommodation with it's amazing views on site was luxurious, spacious, comfortable, and housed 5 families with small children easily which made the preparations so fun on the day. The different zones at Wilde Lodge were so useful for the different parts of the wedding and everything went so smoothly considering we had a large amount of guests (116). The Long Barn was perfect for our family photographs, the garden was a beautiful backdrop for our confetti walk, and the tent was a magnificent celebratory space for both our ceremony and wedding breakfast. I could go on and on about all of the little details but they did so much for us I would be here all day. Thank you Wilde Lodge.
