Woodmancote Place is a picturesque blank canvas outdoor wedding venue in Henfield, West Sussex, UK, exclusively yours for the length of your hire. This family-run estate is steeped in history and dates back to 1066. Woodmancote Place offers couples the perfect blend of privacy, luxury, and sophistication. With unrivalled flexibility to use the grounds of the manor as you wish, Woodmancote Place offers 150 acres of possibilities. Parkland, glorious lawns and deer park, all available for the wild and whimsical, or the elegant and classic. Boasting 3 historic lakes and a 13th-century church adjacent to the grounds, it is the ideal romantic location to tie the knot in style.

As a blank canvas venue, Woodmancote Place will guide you every step of the way. Assisting you with choosing your dream location for your ceremony and wedding breakfast on the glorious lawns, obtain quotes for your dream sail cloth, tipi, marquee or stretch tent from one of our tent partners and obtain quotes from our catering partners. Woodmancote Place will be there to hold your hands with our on-the-day management, from 9am until midnight, included in our venue hire.

The dedicated event manager Hannah prides herself on providing a relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere where couples can create a day as unique as they are.

Pricing

Weddings at Woodmancote Place start at £35,000 including the venue hire of £5000, catering and sail cloth tent. Venue hire includes use of all three lawns as desired. On-the-day management and assistance with logistics in the run up to the wedding day. Access to the drawing room of the Manor for couples photographs. Access to the cloakroom of the Manor for the couple, until 10pm. Access to the deer park for photographs. Free parking for all guests. Hire for set up, wedding day and take down. We can also organise an additional hire for Sunday if you wish to carry your celebrations on.

Facilities and Capacity

Woodmancote Place can host large and small weddings of up to 200 guests. Couples can exchange vows outside on the manicured grounds, where the mature trees, landscaped gardens, and stunning countryside views provide a delightful backdrop for ceremonies and wedding photos. Several spectacular outdoor locations are available, including the front of the Regency facade manor house on the manor house lawn, the lake view lawn with amazing views of the deer park, or the manicured croquet lawn featuring incredible countryside vistas. Alternatively, couples can opt to host their ceremony and reception in a sailcloth tent or marquee, which can be erected on the grounds. You can have a celebrant service on one of our lawns or under the canopy of your chosen tent. Or a Church ceremony in St Peter’s Church adjacent to our grounds.

Services Offered

The Woodmancote Place team offers a range of packages that can be tailored to the needs of each couple. They can provide a dedicated wedding coordinator to oversee the celebration and ensure each couple enjoys a seamless experience. The property has an alcohol license, facilities onsite for live music, and a dance floor. The venue is eco-friendly, and the team make a concerted effort to keep their carbon footprint down by composting waste, using local producers, and not allowing balloons or other unsustainable materials to be used on site. Woodmancote Place only takes one booking per weekend, so couples can enjoy exclusive use of the property for the duration of their wedding. The venue is easily accessible, has plenty of parking for guests, and is pet friendly.

We will take care of your ‘best day ever’ from the very beginning of your journey. As soon as you have decided to host your big day with us, we can give you the option of upgrading to our bespoke event planning service. This will enable you to enjoy the best parts, without stressing about the less exciting necessaries. We will be a supportive friend and make sure every single detail is organised to perfection. On booking this bespoke service, we will invite you round for a cup of tea and slice of homemade cake, and discuss all your ideas, your vision, schemes and importantly, budget. We will then create a guide bespoke to you, outlining everything creative, including a mood board and manage all suppliers and meetings so you don’t have to. We will regularly update you and always be on the end of the phone. We will not only offer logistical help, but we can also help with the little things like cake tastings, wedding favours, bridal party events and more, just ask away!

Full wedding planning is a 15% charge of the total wedding cost, which is of course excluding the £5000 venue hire in its total.

Partial wedding planning

Our partial wedding planning service allows you to choose which aspects of your day you would like to plan yourselves, but with the option for us to help you in certain areas. Personally tailored to your requirements, but including:
