Based in Perthshire and Fife, filming across Scotland and beyond, Capercaillie Wedding Films is a husband and wife team that specialises in capturing your wedding day in a natural, genuine and relaxed way. Colin and Shona want to get to know you and tell the story of you and your wedding day with a beautiful, luxury cinematic film.

Our wedding film is something we cherish and love to watch and relive with our family, including our children. We are passionate about creating a timeless piece of your family's history for you to cherish and look back on fondly forever.

Our goal is for you to feel comfortable and at ease on your wedding day so that we can capture the memories as naturally as possible. We take a discreet, candid approach, allowing you to relax and enjoy your day with your loved ones.

Services Offered

We will use multiple 4 K cameras, discreet audio recording equipment, and drone footage, where possible, to tell the story of your special day, from morning preparations through to evening celebrations.

We will use all of the memories captured to create a collection of high-quality, stunning films, including a highlight film, feature film, full ceremony, and speeches. These will be presented to you in a beautiful wooden presentation box and USB.

All inclusive of filming from morning preparations to evening celebrations. You get a highlights film, cinematic feature film, ceremony and speeches in full presented on a beautiful wooden USB

How far in advance should I contact you?

As soon as possible! We want to hear from you with plenty time to get to know you before the big day. Dates fill up fast so get in touch to see if we are available

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Yes, all over Scotland and beyond

No charge for mainland Scotland. Further afield requires a quote

Best photographer!

Absolutely stunning photos!! The weather was wet and windy and Colin's photos made it all look so beautiful 💜 He was so professional and had chats with us beforehand to make sure we would have everything captured throughout the day. I am soooo happy we chose Capercaillie Films 🥰

Captured our wedding in Spain beautifully

Colin captured our wedding in Spain beautifully. Like a fly on the wall, you wouldn't even know he was there, but he captured every detail of our day.

We wanted our wedding film to be natural, with no over-editing or hours of poses, and it was perfect. Couldn't recommend Capercaillie Films enough.

The best wedding video!

We can't thank Colin enough for creating the most perfect wedding video.
From the initial meeting and conversations, our wedding day and quick turnaround to receive our video, the service Colin provided was phenomenal! He took on board all of our wishes and gave us great advice and ideas. Colin listened carefully to our taste in music and incorporated this into our video.
We have watched our wedding numerous times and it is the best reminder of our fantastic day. The day goes by so quickly so having a video is an amazing way to relive it and also see parts you missed!
If you are thinking about having a videographer, we highly recommend Capercaillie!

Just perfect!

Claire & Arran September Wedding

We cannot recommend Colin enough. Colin created a perfect fun and relaxed atmosphere from morning to night. He had never met our photographer Steven Gallagher but the two of them worked brilliantly together and captured the day perfectly. The small snippets on instagram were amazing and we knew the whole video was going to be great. So much so we messaged Colin to please add on the ceremony and first dance to order. This was no problem to Colin and he sent a beautifully presented box with our usb. We have loved watching it and can’t wait to share it again soon with more friends and family.
