About
I'm Daniele Raddino, class of '92, a videographer based in beautiful coastal Tuscany, Italy. Pleased to meet you!
I was (professionally) born as a Photographer, but I always had strong feelings towards movement and sound, so I changed lanes and became a full-time videographer.
I just love how a person walking from one side of the frame to the other can tell a thousand stories, even more when paired with music, sound or even silence.
My style of filming at weddings is truthful but rich, and I take advantage of all my surroundings. I'm not going to be artistic at all costs; at the core of my work ethic, there's the couple and their comfort; around that I build my storytelling of their wedding day.
I consider it a success if, at the end of the day, the couple will barely remember me and my collaborators. The people I trust on the job share the same idea of being discreet and respectful towards you, your families and your guests.
We are there to film your wedding, but we also know when to put down our cameras and respect the emotions of our couples, and I completely trust my team to respect this idea.
More importantly, I won't chase the perfect clickbait shot for the social platform of the moment: your wedding comes first, promotion 3rd.
When I meet new couples, I try to establish a human connection first: if they book me, I'll be with them throughout the whole day, and without that human component, I'll only be a stranger with a camera. It's not uncommon for me to end the day hanging out with the newlyweds and a handful of friends, chatting and laughing after a long day of filming.
The best example I have for this is a young couple who met in late 2022: Nicole and Jacopo. At first, they were simple clients, but as we approached the wedding day, it turned into a beautiful friendship, to the point that they invited me, the photographer and our significant others to the beach to share a pizza during sunset and my girlfriend even started a book club with Nicole. The couples I film are not ATMs; that's why I love keeping in touch even after all the work is done and delivered.
Now, onto the more technical stuff.
I film with Zcam, a Chinese brand that is making its way into the filmmaking industry. If you've seen 2023's "Mission: impossible - dead reckoning", you've seen my camera in action. It's also been used for Amazon's productions and even Will Smith's national geographic documentary.
But what do all of these buzzwords mean? It means that things can still get done even in difficult situations (e.g., dark venues and adverse weather). Plus, it will have the "movie look", which mirrorless cameras must mimic in post-production.
Speaking of editing and post-production, I also work with DaVinci Resolve, which is another key element in the filmmaking industry with state-of-the-art colour-grading capabilities.
I'd love to be your wedding videographer, but if we're incompatible with each other, I won't bend over backwards trying to convince you, but rather help you and guide you towards the videographer that best suits your vision.
