Dear Journey is a wedding videography business based in Glasgow, Scotland. Specialising in unique weddings and elopement films for fun-loving couples, this business was born from a love of travel and documenting every step of the way. The owners, Emma and Dave, with special help from their four-legged companion, Dexter, are passionate about capturing your special moments and turning them into a keepsake you’ll cherish forever.
Services Offered
Dear Journey will be on hand to capture all those fleeting moments from your wedding day and create something that will evoke memories every time you hit the play button. The film will be authentic to your love story, ensuring your wedding video feels personal and unique. Depending on your package, you will receive a film over 20 minutes alongside a shorter 3-minute highlight reel.

What services do you offer?
Video
What does the wedding package include?
You will receive a 20+ minute film as well as a shorter 3+ minute highlight reel. We include speeches in your film. We also send you a keepsake box with a USB containing both of your films
How far in advance should I contact you?
We are happy to accommodate whenever you choose to book with us as long as we have the date available. the most in advance you book however the better your chances of getting your chosen date
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, we are happy to Travel to any location
What is the charge for travelling?
We don't charge for a 40 mile radius from Glasgow, if your location is further away we would work that out at time of booking
What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
This is our favorite part, getting to know you both! its important for us to get a feel of your day and any important areas so we can make sure we can catch every part without getting in the way!

We use a Fujifilm xh2s
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
Our package covers from bridal prep to the first three dances which is normally when we like to leave you to boogie the night away there is never normally any need to stay later
What are the forms of payment?
Once you are both happy to go with us then we will send along a contract to sign, once you have done that and we have received your 20% deposit we can pop your day in our diary!
How do you work?
Being natural in front of the camera isn’t always the easiest but I promise I’II make it fun! We will keep an eye on the timeline to make sure we are there to catch everything so you focus on your day

What an amazing keepsake
From the moment we contacted Dave we were put at ease he answered all our questions and was always available if we needed him. On the day Dave was amazing he captured all the special moments that mean the world to us and when we received our wedding video we were absolutely delighted with how it turned out

The Best of the Best
We could not recommend Dave & Emma enough! Nothing was too much of a hassle and they kept us right during the planning stages. On the day Dave put us at total ease in front of the camera, as two people who are camera shy this was amazing. They captured small little details that we would not have known about of our guests that is so amazing to look back on. I cannot even begin on how perfect the end feature film is, it honestly takes you right back to your day and has been done perfectly - not only do we love it but all of our friends and family have commented on how unique and amazing it is. We honestly could not recommend Dear Journey enough!

Cow Shed 2022
Dave and Emma at Dear Journey provided us with the perfect pictures and videos to capture our big day last year. The whole booking process was so easy, they have a fantastic open line of communication and really took the time to get to know us which is reflected in the end product. We wanted candid photos, really relaxed and natural, and they did this even better than expected. Our photographs are absolultey stunning! We have so many funny natural shots which you just wouldn't get with anyone else! Dave and Emma were fully committed throughout our day and worked so hard it's unbelievable. From an 8am tee time at Crail golf club taking shots of the guys playing golf, right up until after our first dance getting some stunning outdoor shots with our fairylights. Bear in mind it was February in Crail...very cold! Their passion for what they do shines through, they slotted into our day without any hassle and you wouldn't have known they were there. We recieved a trailer style video, a 2 minute short version and the most cinematic and stunning hour long video. The video included every one of our guests including those who aren't with us, and lots of footage of our dog (this was a request by us). I couldn't recommend Dear Journey enough!
